About
THE LEGEND
In a sleepy Texas town in the 1960's, a girl group formed in their parents' garage. In order to find the perfect band name, the girls consulted a Spirit Board. They got a bitchin' name, Daughters of Evil, but they also got possessed.
Beleth, a king of Hell, sent his minions to distort the band's style and songs.
Suddenly, the band started to receive attention for their macabre flair and they enjoyed modest popularity on local radio and television.
After a rather gruesome incident on the music show "Sulphur Scene," Beleth and the Daughters of Evil returned to Hell.
Decades later, a YouTuber accidentally summoned the band back to the land of the living by playing their album backwards. The Daughters of Evil are currently promoting their short film and live performances now!

Age of Obsidian is the second EP from Daughters of Evil. Daughters of Evil consists of Mary Jane, Mary Beth, and Mary Sue.
Legend has it that in 1966, the girl group consulted a spirit board to assist in their search for the perfect band name. Thanks to a little help from the spirit realm, they got one: DAUGHTERS OF EVIL. Unfortunately for them, they were also got possessed by demons. They were recently brought back to the land of the living when their first EP, Destruction of the World, was played backwards.
In the Daughters of Evil timeline, Age of Obsidian was released in 1969 during a darker and tumultuous period for the girls in which they struggle with coming to terms with their possession.
With a heavier sound that invokes bands like Blue Cheer, Cream, and Vanilla Fudge, the Daughters of Evil show off their rebellious side and skill as musicians.
“Age of Obsidian”, the title track, is about the eternal battle between good and evil that exists in us all. As the Daughters fight against the demons inside, they plead with the listener to see the good that still exists in them.
“Velvet Night” is about a deadly huntress roaming the broken streets of the city: a black cat. This song was written in memory of Mary Jane’s cat.
“Be My Baphomet” is an instrumental concocted entirely by Mary Sue and her demons, melting Phil Specter vibes with occult overtones.
“Dear Diary” is an ode to H.P. Lovecraft’s Necronomicon, which the Daughters obviously used as their personal diary.
